Securities Fraud
Securities fraud cases, in
one form or another, seem to have become the lawsuitdu jour. Lawyers in our firm have been handling securities fraud
cases for most of their careers and, like most of the commercial litigation
bar, have seen a significant increase in the number of cases over the last five
years. We believe our depth of experience in securities fraud rivals that of
much larger firms.
Virtually all of the firm's
lawyers have experience prosecuting individual claims, both in court and in
arbitration. Tom Fulkerson has successfully represented individual claimants
against Merrill, Morgan Stanley, UBS PaineWebber, Prudential, Credit Suisse
First Boston, and Raymond James. Tom Fulkerson represented Huddleston &
Co., Inc. in both SEC and DOJ investigations arising from the El Paso
Corporation's 2004 write-down of proved reserves by 41%.
Whether an individual or
corporate client requires assistance in a class action defense, a government
investigation, or a damage claim, our lawyers have the background to handle the
case effectively and efficiently. We pride ourselves on the depth and variety
of our securities-related experience in virtually every aspect of securities
law, and we take equal pride in our knowledge of the industry and how it works,
whether the case involves bonds, stocks, commodities, insurance products, or
derivatives
